This 4 E1 or T1 card provides provides 4 PRIs connections, supporting up to 120 simultaneous voice data connections, in a Cisco AS5350 and AS5400 (including HPX and XM verions). In is used in conjunction with nextport voice/data cards - for example, 1 AS535-DFC-4CT1 would support the 4 PRIs and the 96 voice/data ports on an AS535-DFC-108np card. A common use for this card is in provision an AS535-4E1-120 or AS535XM-4E1-120 120 port VOIP/dialup gateway, and would be used in combination with an AS5350 chassis and 2 AS535-DFC-60np cards.
